Berggruen Arts & Culture is set to launch a significant program of exhibitions in Venice, coinciding with the 2026 Venice Biennale. The initiative includes the interdisciplinary group exhibitions "Strange Rules" and "Unfinished" at Palazzo Diedo, alongside a dedicated presentation of works by Joseph Kosuth at Casa dei Tre Oci.
At Palazzo Diedo, "Strange Rules" and "Unfinished" will explore themes at the intersection of AI, technology, biology, and contemporary production. The exhibitions will feature a diverse roster of artists including Mat Dryhurst, Holly Herndon, Philippe Parreno, Trevor Paglen, Avery Singer, Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Michael Levin, Simon Denny, Hito Steyerl, Carsten Höller, Urs Fischer, Sterling Ruby, Mariko Mori, and Lynn Hershman Leeson. Works will span interdisciplinary installations, video, sculpture, photography, sound installations, and digital art, focusing on concepts such as Protocol Art and human-AI collaborative creativity.
Concurrently, Casa dei Tre Oci will host an exhibition dedicated to Joseph Kosuth, a seminal figure in conceptual art. This presentation will feature a selection of his works, including neon installations, emphasizing his contributions to the field. These exhibitions underscore Berggruen Arts & Culture's commitment to exploring the convergence of humanities and sciences through contemporary art.
The exhibitions will open on 4 May 2026 and run until 22 November 2026. Both Palazzo Diedo and Casa dei Tre Oci will be open to the public daily from 4 May to 10 May, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (with an adjusted closing time of 1:00 PM on 7 May). Following the opening week, regular operating hours will be Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with the last entry at 6:30 PM.
The initiative is presented by Berggruen Arts & Culture in collaboration with entities such as Marsilio Arte and the Berggruen Institute Europe, highlighting a comprehensive program that integrates contemporary art with broader intellectual discourse.
