Bassem Dahdouh, Imprisonment (2021) sold for $45,600 (GBP35,800), more than twice the low estimate at Bonhams in London on November 13. The mixed media on canvas work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $10,400, a 29% rise.
