Venice will host two significant solo exhibitions by contemporary artists Georg Baselitz and David Salle from May 6 to September 27, 2026. These presentations will take place across the Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Galleria Palazzo Cini, situated on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, aligning with the programming surrounding the 61st Venice Biennale.
Georg Baselitz's exhibition, titled Eroi d’Oro, will be presented at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini. The show is expected to feature new works by the German artist, recognized for his distinct approach to painting and sculpture. Thaddaeus Ropac is associated with this presentation, suggesting a curatorial or organizational role.
Concurrently, David Salle will present Painting in the Present Tense at Galleria Palazzo Cini. This exhibition will offer a focused look at the American painter's recent output, known for its layered imagery and complex narratives.
