Auguste Rodin Work Sells for $48,600 to Deliver a 7% Annualized Return

Auguste Rodin, Saint Barthélémy (1898), sold for $48,600, more than three times the low estimate at Bonhams in New York on May 21.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $47,300, equivalent to an annualized return of 7%. It last sold at auction in 1975 for $1,303 at Sotheby's.
