Auction Record Set For Willy Aractingi

Willy Aractingi, Untitled (Jerusalem) (1970) sold for $50,200, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on April 23. The oil on canvas work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $4,884, a 10% rise.

The previous record was set by Le Loup Et L'agneau (The Wolf And The Lamb - From The Fable De La Fontaine Series) (1997), which sold for $45,300 at Sotheby's on April 30, 2019. The work had not been traded before.
