Vivan Sundaram, Untitled (A Winter Night) (1963) sold for $88,200, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on September 18. The oil on canvas work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $20,900, a 31% rise.
