Tomas Saraceno, GJ 581 e/M+1 (2016) sold for $119,700, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on October 2. The metal, plexiglass, monofiliment, iridescent fishing line, metal wire, carbon fiber and steel thread work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $47,000, a 64% rise.
