Stephen Wong Chun Hei, Lugard Road and the Victoria Harbour (2022) sold for $154,000 (HKD1.2m), more than three times the low estimate at Christie's in Hong Kong on September 27. The acrylic on canvas work has been traded twice in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $8,071, a 5% rise.
