Sholto Blissett, Ship of Fools IV (2022) sold for $88,800, more than twice the low estimate at Christie's in Hong Kong on May 28. The oil and acrylic on canvas work has been traded once in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $40,100, a 82% rise.
The previous record was set by *Ship of Fools XII * (2022), which sold for $48,700 at Sotheby's on April 06, 2024. The work had been traded twice in the past.
