Auction Record Set For Maria Luisa Pacheco

Maria Luisa Pacheco, Morro (1979) sold for $57,100, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 14. The oil and sand on canvas work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $4,230, a 7% rise.
