M.F. Husain, Untitled (Reincarnation) (1957) sold for $3.22m (GBP2.4m), more than eight times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on September 26. The Oil on canvas work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $432,500, a 15% rise.

The previous record was set by Bulls (1961), which sold for $2.78m at Sotheby's on March 20, 2023. The work had been traded once in the past.
