Francoise Gilot, Concert on the Green (Le Concert Champêtre) (1953) sold for $1.42m, more than six and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in Paris on April 9. The oil on panel work has been traded twice in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $114,000, a 8% rise.
