Blek Le Rat, Tango (2021) sold for $118,400, more than six times the low estimate at Phillips in London on April 19. The acrylic and spray paint on wood and canvas work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $40,400, a 51% rise.
