Ay-o, Rainbow Sea-Scape (1970) sold for $113,000, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in Hong Kong on May 28. The acrylic on canvas work has been traded twice in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $9,153, a 8% rise.
