Artemisia Gentileschi Work Sells for $2.73m to Deliver a 67% Annualized Return

Artemisia Gentileschi, David with the head of Goliath sold for $2.73m (GBP1.99m), more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on July 2.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $2.64m, equivalent to an annualized return of 67%. It last sold at auction in 2018 for $91,000 at Hampel Kunstauktionen.
