ARoS will host 'The Populace', a new immersive installation by artists Nina Beier and John Miller, opening on May 13, 2026, and running through March 29, 2027. Located in the Salling Gallery, the exhibition delves into themes of identity, authenticity, and reality within contemporary cultural systems.

The installation explores the image economy, artifice, and the gaze, utilizing a range of media including sculpture, painting, photography, and writing. Beier and Miller incorporate found objects, mannequins, and portrait photographs to examine reproduction, consumerism, and the construction of value within Western popular culture and capitalist chains.

The exhibition is supported by foundations including the Axel Muusfeldt Foundation, Lemvigh‑Müller Foundation, Consul George Jorck and Wife Emma Jorck’s Foundation, 15 June Foundation, and the Danish Arts Foundation. Both artists have previously exhibited at institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Museo Tamayo, The High Line, Kunsthalle Zürich, Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, and Museum Ludwig.
