Danish Museum Plans an Indian Summer for Ron Mueck's Sun Dodgers

ARoS museum in Aarhus has announced an exhibition showcasing works from its permanent collection including a significant new acquisition: Ron Mueck's Couple Under an Umbrella.

The exhibition opens September 12 and runs until August 2027.

The acquisition coincides with the loan of Mueck's Boy from ARoS to Museum Voorlinden, where it will be a part of the Dutch museum's 10th-anniversary exhibition.

Aros's director Rebecca Matthews said in a statement: "Since opening in 2004, large-scale installation art has been central to our identity," adding, "We are also delighted to welcome Ron Mueck's extraordinary work."
