Milan's Gallerie d'Italia is a comprehensive exhibition dedicated to the Italian artist who was based in the city. Opening on May 29, the in-depth survey is due to run until October 18.
The exhibition will explore Pomodoro's artistic journey, encompassing his poetic and creative career through a selection of works and display designs. It aims to highlight his research across various media, including sculpture in bronze and fiberglass.
His 1966 monumental work, Sfera grande, which is made of fiberglass, is already in the collection and on long-term display in the Alessandro Garden in Milan.
The show is a collaborative effort involving the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation and it is co-curated by Luca Massimo Barbero.
