Anthony van Dyck, Portrait of a Genoese officer, three-quarter length, in armor, sold for $850,900, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in New York on February 11.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $790,000, equivalent to an annualized return of 2%. It last sold at auction in 1928 for $60,900 at Christie's.
