Anthony Poon's Auction Record Jumps 40%

Anthony Poon, Colour waves (1986) sold for $129,700 (SGD165,100), more than twice the low estimate at Sotheby's in Singapore on January 25. The acrylic on canvas work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $37,300, a 40% rise.
