Anselm Kiefer Work Sells for $138,300 But Delivers a 35% Negative Return

Anselm Kiefer, Des Meeres und der Liebe Wellen (Waves of love and the sea) (2011) sold for $138,300 (GBP100,800), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on June 26.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $77,800, realizing a 35% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2021 for $216,000 at Christie's.
