The Anozero – Coimbra Biennial of Contemporary Art is set to open its 2026 edition from April 11 to July 5, 2026. This iteration will be co-curated by Hans Ibelings and John Zeppetelli. The Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Nova in Coimbra has been designated as a central venue, with the exhibition extending to additional locations throughout the city.

Ibelings and Zeppetelli have developed the curatorial theme, 'To hold, to give, to receive'. This framework is intended to explore mutual aid, relational space, and ecologies of care through an interdisciplinary lens. The biennial will feature contributions across art, design, architecture, craft, landscaping, and folklore, engaging with contemporary art discourse.

The Anozero – Bienal de Coimbra, organized in collaboration with entities such as the Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra, positions the city as a nexus for engaging with current artistic and architectural practices. The biennial maintains its focus on presenting contemporary work within Coimbra's historical and cultural landscape.
