Annie Morris, Stack 9, Ultramarine Blue (2018) sold for $853,500 (GBP635,000), more than five times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on October 17. The foam core, plaster, sand and pigment on concrete base work has been traded twice in the past.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $209,800, a 32% rise.
