Andy Warhol, Hammer and Sickle (1976), sold for $4.7m (GBP3.51m), more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on March 4.

The sale was below the previous auction result by $1.71m, realizing a 26% negative return. It last sold at auction in 2022 for $6.41m at Sotheby's.

Acrylic and silkscreen ink on canvas, 183.5 x 218.4cm. The work has been traded 6 times in the past.
