The Greek Ministry of Culture has announced that Andreas Angelidakis will present 'Escape Room' at the Greek Pavilion for the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. The exhibition is scheduled to open on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Giardini.

Angelidakis's installation will delve into complex themes including the Platonic Cave, nationalism, cultural memory, identity, and fascism. The work will explore these concepts through a multi-disciplinary approach, incorporating elements of installation, architecture, visual arts, and digital media.

The selection of Angelidakis for the national representation aligns with the Biennale's focus on contemporary artistic discourse. The project is supported by various entities, including Onassis Culture, Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center (H.F.A.C.), and the National Bank of Greece, among others.
