Alfred Sisley Work Sells for $2.59m to Deliver a 2% Annualized Return

Alfred Sisley, Le pont de Moret-sur-Loing en été (1888) sold for $2.59m (GBP1.94m), more than the low estimate at Christie's in London on October 15.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $1.19m, equivalent to an annualized return of 2%. It last sold at auction in 1995 for $1.4m at Christie's.
