Alfred Sisley Work Sells for $945,000 to Deliver a 4% Annualized Return

Alfred Sisley, La Seine à Suresnes (1879) sold for $945,000, more than the low estimate at Christie's in New York on May 13.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $818,500, equivalent to an annualized return of 4%. It last sold at auction in 1977 for $126,500 at Christie's.
