Alfie Caine's Auction Record Increases by 3%

Alfie Caine, Peace and Quiet Before the Party (2021) sold for $160,300 (GBP116,800), more than six and a half times the low estimate at Phillips in London on June 26. The acrylic and latex paint on canvas work has been traded once in the past.

Alfie Caine (b. 1996) is a British artist who studied architecture. His dreamlike interiors and surreal landscapes were shown by Margot Samel in New York in 2025.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $5,789, a 3% rise. His previous record was set by Interior with Sunflowers at Sunset (2020), which sold for $154,500 at Phillips on March 8, 2024. The work had not been traded before.
