Alexander Calder Work Sells for $144,300 to Deliver a 1% Annualized Return

Alexander Calder, Paysage avec Disc Spirale (1970), sold for $144,300 (GBP107,900), more than two and a half times the low estimate at Christie's in London on March 7.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $27,800, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 2013 for $116,500 at Sotheby's.
