Alex Strada's public art installation, 'Public Address,' has been relocated and is now on view in Columbus Park, Downtown Brooklyn. The installation, which centers on housing insecurity and civic agency, is scheduled to remain in place through summer 2026.

The work engages with themes of homelessness and advocates for political transformation within the urban landscape. It features various public art elements, including signs, handwritten reflections, and drawn reflections, reflecting on the lived experiences of individuals facing housing challenges.

The project is supported by a consortium of public and non-profit entities. Key organizations involved include the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS), Storefront for Art & Architecture, NYC Department of Transportation, NYC Parks’ Art in the Parks program, Commonpoint Queens, Brooklyn Public Library, Coalition for the Homeless, Homes for People, and Art Against Displacement.
