Alessandro Twombly, Poseidon’s Revenge (2022) sold for $77,400, more than five times the low estimate at Phillips in New York on February 28. The acrylic on canvas work has not been traded before.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $16,900, a 28% rise.
