Ai Weiwei, Colored Vases (2006) sold for $207,600 (GBP152,400), more than three times the low estimate at Sotheby's in London on June 25.
The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $30,400, equivalent to an annualized return of 1%. It last sold at auction in 2010 for $177,200 at Phillips de Pury.
