Adriaen Coorte Work Sells for $2.98m to Deliver a 6% Annualized Return

Adriaen Coorte, Still Life of a Porcelain Bowl with Wild Strawberries (1704) sold for $2.98m, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 21.

The sale beat the previous auction result for this work by $2.72m, equivalent to an annualized return of 6%. It last sold at auction in 1987 for $260,000 at Christie's.
