Adam Pendleton's Auction Record Jumps 68%

Adam Pendleton, Black Dada (K) (2022) sold for $1.02m, more than six and a half times the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on November 20. The silkscreen ink and black gesso on canvas, on two joined panels work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $415,200, a 68% rise.

The previous record was set by Untitled (Days) (2020), which sold for $604,800 at Christie's on November 18, 2022. The work had been traded once in the past.
