2 - 19 October
HENI is delighted to present American Dream, a landmark collaboration between Damien Hirst and Eminem that unites two of the most influential forces in contemporary art and music. The exhibition runs from 2 to 19 October 2026 at HENI Gallery.
The exhibition includes three limited-edition cabinets and a selection of original paintings which merge Eminem’s era-defining discography with Hirst’s iconic Spin Paintings and Medicine Cabinet series. A collection of prints based on the original paintings will also be on display.
The three cabinets – Re-Up, Riot and Addict – are the latest evolution of Hirst’s Medicine Cabinet series. Each cabinet contains Eminem’s 12-album discography, featuring covers that Hirst reimagined in 2022 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Interscope Records. In Riot and Addict, the albums are arranged alongside medicine boxes and pills, echoing the clinical aesthetic that Hirst has explored since he first began the series.
Hirst has incorporated music into his Medicine Cabinets since the series began in the mid-'80s, naming works after songs by The Clash and Sex Pistols, but American Dream makes this connection more literal. In Addict, the medicine featured in the artwork specifically reflects every drug mentioned in Eminem’s lyrics. Additionally, the album sleeves within the cabinets contain the vinyl records themselves, allowing collectors to listen to the music as well as to enjoy the artworks.
Hirst and Eminem developed their vision for these album covers further in a collection of original paintings. Still utilising Hirst’s Spin Paintings, the chance colour interactions and dynamic compositions of these paintings reveal unique and never-before-seen variations on the 12 album designs.
The American Dream works are available exclusively through HENI Primary and HENI Editions from 1 until 19 October 2026.

Damien Hirst
Damien Hirst is a British artist whose name has become synonymous with contemporary art. Since his generative work as a student at Goldsmiths School of Art, Hirst's production has been boundary−redefining in nature. Working primarily in installation, painting, sculpture and drawing, Hirst explores the complex relationships between art, beauty, religion, science, life and death. He constantly returns to his foundational interests and themes, which he reworks to develop an innovative visual language.
Eminem
Over the course of his career, Eminem has sold over 164 million albums and has over 110 billion streams globally. He was Nielsen SoundScan’s top-selling artist of the 2000s with 32.2 million albums sold in that decade in the U.S. alone. In addition, Eminem was also named Billboard’s Artist of the Decade for the same period, 2000 through 2009. Eminem has won 15 GRAMMY® Awards and an Academy Award®. His 2010 album, Recovery, was the first album in the U.S. to be certified platinum digitally. In March 2021 his greatest hits album, Curtain Call: The Hits, became the first hip-hop album to spend a full decade on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. His latest album, The Death of Slim Shady, was released July 12, 2024 and was his eleventh straight studio album to debut at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200, selling over 281,000 units. Eminem is now the only rapper to have released a platinum certified album in four different decades (90s, 00s, 10s, 20s).
