Currently staged at Palais D’Iéna with Rem Koolhaas’ OMA, the first commission in the Women’s Tales series was The Powder Room by Zoe Cassavetes, shot in 2011, while the most recent, Laura Citarella’s El Affaire Miu Miu, was released last month.
The exhibition features 150 works by Wesselmann, alongside 70 pieces from 35 artists, spanning generations and nationalities, all linked by a shared “Pop” sensibility.
Highlight of the exhibition will be a historically important artwork featuring portraits of Greenwich Village bohemians by Oronzo Gasparo titled “The Village Vanguard” 1935.
