Michael Ku Gallery presents a group show Watching the Clouds Rise, December 13 until February 13.
Marking the centenary of Etel Adnan’s birth (Beirut 1925 – Paris 2021), the exhibition runs until 19 December 2025 and offers an unprecedented focus on her literary work bringing together poems, novels, essays, and their translations into more than a dozen languages, including Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Turkish, and Czech.
Ceal Floyer, [who] died on December 11 after a long battle with illness, was one of the most radically conceptual artists of her generation, renowned for her concise humor and profoundly understated visual language.
The items taken are part of the collection of the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum, which is managed by Bristol Archives and Bristol Museums.
Photographer Sam Shaw, who died in 1999, produced many of Monroe’s most defining images, including the wind-blown scene from The Seven Year Itch.
