Pat Lipsky, Blue Flood (1969) sold for $28,800, more than two and a half times the low estimate at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers on March 5. The acrylic on canvas work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $2,400, a 9% rise.
