Farghali Abdel Hafiz, London Collection (2006) sold for $97,800, more than one and a half times the low estimate at Bonhams in London on June 5. The acrylic on wood work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $23,000, a 30% rise.
