Erika Verzutti's auction record jumps 35%

Erika Verzutti, Murundum/Stone Cemetery (2013) sold for $44,500, more than the low estimate at Sotheby's in New York on May 14. The cobblestone, clay, concrete and stones work has been traded once in the past.

The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $11,700, a 35% rise.

The previous record was set by Mineral (2013), which sold for $32,800 at Sotheby's, Online on October 03, 2022. The work had been traded once in the past.
