Ali Kazim, Untitled (Bird Hunter Series) (2024) sold for $42,300 (GBP33,000), more than twice the low estimate at Phillips on March 5. The watercolour pigments on paper work has not been traded before.
The sale beat the artist’s previous auction record by $13,500, a 46% rise.
