HENI Talks Public Art: Dorset Martyrs Discord Live Watch Party
23 Jan 2025
Art historian Jo Baring explores the gruesome history of Gallows Hill, Dorset through one of artist Elisabeth Frink’s most profound sculptures – ‘The Dorset Martyrs Memorial’. Unveiled in 1986, this powerful work honours the countless Dorset men and women who faced persecution for their faith during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The installation features three figures arranged in a triangular formation, their gazes drawn inward.
