HENI is delighted to present The Blind Exit, a new limited edition print by Conor Harrington. For the first time, the artist’s distinct blend of street art and traditional paint is brought to a new medium using a special 28-colour screen printing technique. The artworks are signed and numbered on the front by the artist.
The artworks are unframed silkscreen prints on Somerset Satin Cotton, printed in 28 colours, with a high gloss varnish finish, each measuring 125 x 99.5 cm. The Blind Exit is available as an edition of 100 plus 10 artist proofs.
The application period for the prints is open from 30 November to 5 December 2023 at 17:00 GMT.
This release has ended but it may be possible to buy/sell from other collectors on the secondary market.
Conor Harrington is an Irish artist based in London known for his impressive bodies of work that grace both streets and gallery walls. His distinctive style, which fuses traditional oil painting and classicism with contemporary street art styles and techniques, serves as the vehicle through which Harrington expresses compelling views on challenging themes facing society today.
Harrington’s work frequently examines national identity, using strong colours with thought provoking imagery to create both visual and ideological contrasts. Using a complex and labour-intensive 28-colour separation method, this printing technique gives the editions a stunning clarity of form and vibrancy. The artwork has existed as both an oil painting and mural before being made into a 28-layer screen print.
As the artist said, 'I also painted this scene on a wall on Trafalgar Rd in Greenwich, an area famous for its maritime history. You’ll find the Cutty Sark there as well as the Royal Naval College. It’s a part of London with a very strong connection to Britain’s empire past so I thought it would be a very interesting part of London to paint the mural.'

Because there are limited editions available, HENI tries to ensure that everyone has a chance to purchase an edition, which means there is an application period.
Due to the high demand for HENI Editions, HENI tries to ensure that the artworks are sold broadly and fairly (rather than on a ‘first come, first served’ basis). This means there is a short allocation period after the applications close, where HENI uses a mixture of random selection along with other criteria designed to achieve a broad and fair allocation of the work.
