HENI is delighted to present Obey Invader, a series of four limited-edition prints by Shepard Fairey and Invader. The prints are based on new works currently on view at the Triple Trouble exhibition at Newport Street Gallery, which runs from 10 October until 29 March 2026.
The Obey Invader editions are silkscreen prints with embossing on cotton rag paper and are presented in a white aluminium frame. The works measure 53.3 x 72.3 cm (framed). Each print is from an edition of 250 (+ 50 APs). All works are numbered and hand-signed on the front by the artists.
The Obey Invader editions are available by application until midday BST on 23 October.
HENI Editions will release several new print editions by Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst and Invader throughout the five-month run of the Triple Trouble exhibition, which showcases a collection of new collaborative works by the artists.
In the new collaboration Obey Invader, Shepard Fairey and Invader merge their characteristic motifs into four exciting artworks. In each, Fairey’s Obey Star sits at the centre of mandala-like designs, which are repeated in the form of tiles. These tiles are rendered in alternative colours of blue, red and cream, the resulting patterns both shedding light on Fairey’s designs and revealing one of Invader’s pixelated Space Invader figures.
Obey Invader highlights Fairey and Invader’s shared fascination for repetition, symbols and cultural icons. Fairey’s Obey Star develops his well-known motif of the Obey Icon face and is a symbol that encourages viewers to find their own interpretations of the world around them. Invader’s pixelated creations reference the icons of early video games, through which the artist questions the invasion of the digital world into our daily lives.
Shepard Fairey
Shepard Fairey is a contemporary street artist, graphic designer, activist, and founder of OBEY Clothing and creative agency Studio Number One. In 1989, while at Rhode Island School of Design studying for his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, Shepard Fairey created the “Andre the Giant has a Posse” sticker that later evolved into the OBEY GIANT art campaign. In 2008, his portrait of then-Democratic candidate Barack Obama became an internationally recognized emblem of hope. He is known for the “We The People” campaign debuted during the 2017 Women’s Marches worldwide. Fairey has painted nearly 140 public murals, become one of the most sought-after and provocative artists globally, changing the way people converse about art and view the urban landscape.
Invader
The elusive street artist Invader uses his now ubiquitous pixelated characters to unpretentiously bring art to the masses. Self-described as an Unidentified Free Artist (UFA) whose identity is perennially hidden behind masks and digital pixelations, his pseudonym reflects his artistic practice – to invade (often illegally) spaces with viral art since 1998.
The nearly 90 territories he has invaded include the International Space Station, the seabed off the coast of Cancún and a remote city located at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level where he had installed his 4000th mosaic in 2021. The discovery of a mosaic by Invader has become akin to an international treasure hunt for the 482.000 players of ‘Flashinvaders’, the free app he has developed. In a span of 30 years, Invader has expanded his practice into new media, delving into Rubik’s Cube sculptures in his Rubikcubist series, and produced installations, films and acclaimed exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide.
The Triple Trouble exhibition is on show at Newport Street Gallery until 29 March 2026. Admission to the gallery is free.

The Obey Invader works offer a new take on some of Fairey and Invader’s most recognisable imagery by presenting them in a new context. Fairey’s Obey Star develops his well-known motif of the Obey Icon face and is a symbol that encourages viewers to find their own interpretations of the world around them. Invader’s Space Invaders are creatures inspired by the iconic arcade game. In his street art practice, Invader cleverly references digital pixelation by constructing his figures using tile mosaics.
HENI Editions will release several new print editions by Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst and Invader throughout the five-month run of the Triple Trouble exhibition, which showcases a collection of new collaborative works by the artists. The original paintings, sculptures, installations and mosaics in the Triple Trouble show are also available by application on HENI Primary.

If you selected 'No' to the “Partial Fulfilment” option during the application process, HENI will only satisfy your application if we are able to fulfil your entire application.
