HENI is delighted to present InvadHirst, a limited-edition print by Damien Hirst and Invader. The print is based on a new artwork currently on view at the Triple Trouble exhibition at Newport Street Gallery.
The InvadHirst edition is a 21-colour silkscreen print on Somerset Satin White cotton paper and is presented in a white aluminium frame. The work measures 86.2 x 108.7 cm (framed). All works will be hand-signed by the artists on the front and hand-numbered.
The number of editions will be limited by demand during the drop window, which lasts until 17:00 GMT on 10 November 2025.
HENI Editions will release several new print editions by Shepard Fairey, Damien Hirst and Invader throughout the five-month run of the Triple Trouble exhibition, which showcases a collection of new collaborative works by the artists.
In InvadHirst, Invader’s iconic Space Invader motif is brought into dialogue with Hirst’s Spot Paintings, one of Hirst's most recognisable series. Set against a stark white background, twenty uniquely coloured Space Invaders are arranged in a strict grid, this ordered geometry reinforced by the structure of the original tile.
InvadHirst showcases the exciting common ground between Invader and Hirst’s practices and sheds new light on some of their long-established ideas. The grid structure of InvadHirst is a characteristic of Hirst’s Spot Paintings, but it also evokes the organisation of Space Invader characters in the arcade game that inspired Invader's motif. Invader creates the spot-like, pixelated creatures that occupy this grid from his wide-ranging palette of tiles, ensuring that, like in Hirst's Spot Paintings, no two are the same colour.
Damien Hirst
Damien Hirst is a British artist whose name has become synonymous with contemporary art. Since his generative work as a student at Goldsmiths School of Art, Hirst's production has been boundary−redefining in nature. Working primarily in installation, painting, sculpture and drawing, Hirst explores the complex relationships between art, beauty, religion, science, life and death. He constantly returns to his foundational interests and themes, which he reworks to develop an innovative visual language.
Invader
The elusive street artist Invader uses his now ubiquitous pixelated characters to unpretentiously bring art to the masses. Self-described as an Unidentified Free Artist (UFA) whose identity is perennially hidden behind masks and digital pixelations, his pseudonym reflects his artistic practice – to invade (often illegally) spaces with viral art since 1998.
The nearly 90 territories he has invaded include the International Space Station, the seabed off the coast of Cancún and a remote city located at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level where he had installed his 4,000th mosaic in 2021. The discovery of a mosaic by Invader has become akin to an international treasure hunt for the 482,000 players of ‘Flashinvaders’, the free app he has developed. In a span of 30 years, Invader has expanded his practice into new media, delving into Rubik’s Cube sculptures in his Rubikcubist series, and produced installations, films and acclaimed exhibitions in galleries and museums worldwide.
