Damien Hirst’s enveloping facsimile print ‘Andromeda’ captures details of the layers of hand-mixed paint, which act like veils, found in his ‘Veil Paintings’ (2017) series. Entities which Hirst describes as “solid yet invisible and reveals and yet obscures the truth”, the veils are the result of mixing the unnatural hues of Pierre Bonnard with the short strokes of Pointillism.
